Portfolio Mentoring & Studio Practice

IMG_4430.heic

Artist-led support for A-Level, foundation and emerging art students.

These sessions are designed for students developing portfolios for university applications, foundation courses, or further artistic study within a contemporary art context.

Working from her East London studio, Sophie Kyriakopoulou offers guidance that balances technical development with conceptual thinking, helping students strengthen both skill and artistic confidence.

Areas of support may include:

  • portfolio development and project direction

  • drawing, painting, and mixed media techniques

  • idea generation and visual research

  • composition, colour and material exploration

  • preparing work for interviews and applications

  • constructive critique and individual feedback

Alongside structured mentoring, supervised studio sessions are also available for students who wish to work independently within a professional creative environment while receiving ongoing guidance and support.

The emphasis is on helping each student develop a strong personal voice, curiosity, and confidence within their own practice.

Sessions are available individually or in small groups.
